Long Bio

Travis J. Croken, a.k.a. The Calm Scribe, grew up in the National Capital Region of Canada, where he still lives with his wife and young daughter. He writes in several genres including science fiction, psychological thriller, YA, fantasy, and horror. He is the host of The Writer's Chat on Twitch and founder and co-host of the Scribe's Journey Podcast and After The... talk show. Croken is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Ottawa Independent Writers, and the Canadian Authors Association. He is the Content Specialist for Plottr, runs the Writer's Room writing group, and is the lead for a Writer's Group with the Ottawa Independent Writers. He is currently developing a writing course for Learn Desk and also works as an international writing mentor and creative coach. |

He works full-time in the literary world where he helps others and develops coaching and mentoring programs. |
